Ocean Neighbors

Located off Military Road in James Island, the large community of Ocean Neighbors features three- and four-bedroom homes built after 2000. With most homes ranging in size from 1,500 to 2,500 square feet, common features include vinyl siding, privacy fences and raised foundations, though some are built on crawl space foundations. Most 1.5- to 2-story homes within the neighborhood have at least two full baths, while several are situated along a lake that can be used for fishing and kayaking. Residents of Ocean Neighbors enjoy access to a number of onsite amenities. These include grassy common areas, a children’s play area and a gazebo. The community also boasts a 20-acre lake with a fishing pier and a bike path leading to Folly Beach. Boats are allowed in the community and two public landings can be found between the community and Folly Beach. The ocean is just four miles away from the Ocean Neighbors community, while downtown Charleston is located eight miles away.
